From moving cargo to moving content – with DSV and Panalpina joining forces, all media releases, news stories and blog posts of the two companies have been merged into one newsroom.
All points on the agenda of the extraordinary general meeting were approved. The company now has a new Group name, a new member of the board, and a new and a new Chairman, as now former Chairman Kurt Larsen stepped down.

DSV is a result of many mergers and acquisitions. Since DSV was founded in 1976, we have continuously acquired companies great and small, starting with small trucking companies and freight forwarders in the 1980’s.
Panalpina continues to expand and invest in Kenya, doubling its cold storage space at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to enable more and improved services for its perishables customers in and out of the country.
Panalpina Adelantex in Belgium has received a bio certification from Certisys, marking the sixth time a Panalpina unit is certified for the handling of organic produce and reinforcing the company’s position as a leading service provider in the perishables arena.
At the Capital Markets Day 2016 in Amsterdam, the company's senior management demonstrated how Panalpina has taken risk out of the business and laid the foundations for future growth. Growth was the main theme of the afternoon presentations. Four deep-dive sessions focused on “Ocean Freight and Productivity”, “Sales Growth”, “Air Freight and Perishables” as well as “Logistics and Innovation”.
In the APAC countries, the acquisition of UTi has resulted in the separation of the Solutions division from the Air & Sea division.
Panalpina Egypt has moved its country head office and 100% of its Cairo operations to the newly developed Cairo Cargo City at Cairo International airport. Panalpina is the first freight forwarding company to have its head office directly at the airport.
