DSV acquires S&H – multi-channel fulfilment to further boost e-commerce business

DSV recently acquired an additional 140,000 m2 of land adjacent to its facilities in Venlo, Netherlands. The lot is to be developed with a further 83,000 m2 of warehouse.
DSV’s contract logistics division announced the investment in a 41,000 m2 warehouse + 15,000 m2 mezzanine facility in ‘s Heerenberg located on the German border. The new facility is planned to be operational in December 2016 and could potentially add 100 jobs to the 200 staff members currrently employed by DSV in 's Heerenberg.
The Finnish design label Marimekko has been present with their own brick and mortar stores in China since 2012, but only recently opened their online shop in close collaboration with DSV.
Earlier this month, DSV’s European-based multi-channel fulfilment business was once again rated “best logistics service provider in e-business” by Emerce.
