New Panalpina customer portal: bringing the future of digital supply chain management to transport logistic in Munich
Panalpina will present its new customer portal this week at transport logistic 2019, the world’s leading trade fair for logistics and supply chain management. Collaborative shipment management, fully-automated instant quotation and lane risk assessment make the portal unique in the industry. Interested parties can test the customer portal in Munich before it will be made available later this year.
Panalpina centralizes and expands Global Supply Chain Solutions offering
As part of its growth strategy, Panalpina has centralized its Supply Chain Solutions offering with plans to expand the existing team of experts and further invest in technology and infrastructure. Panalpina’s customers from across multiple industries will benefit from solutions that manage their supply chains from end-to-end and offer greater flexibility, customization, and visibility.
Panalpina Perishables Network launched with ambitious growth plans
The worldwide transport of perishables constitutes a huge market where Panalpina is aiming to become the market leader. By 2020 the company aims to be the preferred global supplier of perishables logistics. The success factors for this accelerated push into perishables are the company’s global coverage, dedicated perishables experts in key markets and the unique Panalpina Charter Network.
Strategic appointment of divisional CCOs
To further develop our commercial activities and customer relationships, we have appointed two new divisional Chief Commercial Officers (CCOs), in addition those already appointed for Solutions and Sub Saharan Africa.
Panalpina reports on sustainability progress during 2015
During 2015, Panalpina continued its commitment to reducing its environmental impact, with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions. At the UN Climate Talks in Paris held in December 2015, it was announced that Panalpina was one of over 100 international companies and the only logistics company so far to commit to set reduction targets as part of the Science Based Targets Initiative.
