A short window for extra-long pipes

One of Panalpina’s oil and gas customers is currently engaged in a 15-year drilling program in Oman. The customer enlisted a big steel manufacturer, to supply 62 kilometers of gas pipeline to support the project. Fast track development meant the customer required longer than usual pipes. To ensure timely shipment of this irregular-shaped cargo, Panalpina’s expertise was called upon.
Brussels remains important hub for pharmaceutical shipments

Brussels is Panalpina’s first station to have obtained IATA's CEIV Pharma certificate, which is becoming the benchmark for air freight related cross-dock operations for healthcare products. After Belgium’s Federal Agency of Medical and Health Products (FAMHP), IATA is the second organization to have certified Panalpina Brussels from a healthcare perspective.
Landlocked but with a merchant fleet

Yes, Switzerland has a merchant fleet consisting of 49 ships. The fleet is the biggest among landlocked countries and one of the most modern in the world. With it, Switzerland has been crisscrossing international waters since 1941, when World War II escalated. The very first ship of the fleet was called Calanda and belonged to the Schweizerische Reederei AG, the former parent company of Panalpina.
Brazil Wings celebrates successful first year

Brazil receives exceptionally large, urgent pharmaceutical shipment

Panalpina recently delivered an exceptionally large shipment of pharmaceutical products to Brazil. A cargo plane took off from Frankfurt airport carrying 187 pallets of temperature-sensitive cargo, destined for Brasília International Airport. The shipment was an urgent order from the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
Children like Kenny benefit from UNICEF's and Panalpina's aid in Burundi

36 Million 20-foot containers were moved through the port of Shanghai in 2015. In the world’s biggest port, the very physical nature of international trade is apparent like nowhere else.
