Panalpina, which was acquired by DSV in 2019, has been commended for its climate action, achieving a place on non-profit CDP's ‘A List’ for climate change, based on the company’s climate reporting.

DSV Panalpina has now committed to the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative. Targets are being calculated and processed as we write this, and once approved by SBT, DSV Panalpina will work actively to manage and reduce its CO2 emissions through reduced energy use.

On 1 September, hurricane Dorian hit the northern coast of the Bahamas. The damage is massive, leaving an estimated 70,000 people homeless and in need of relief. But it’s difficult to get help to the area, since both infrastructure and means of transportation have been destroyed. DSV is helping Red Cross send equipment to the most affected areas.

Whenever a DSV-driver or someone driving for DSV transports goods around the world, we require that they do so safely and in accordance with local traffic laws and regulations. That of course includes no driving under the influence of alcohol.

A scheduled shutdown of a deep-water oil platform is no small undertaking. For one Panalpina customer, their entire maintenance plan would have been derailed if not for Panalpina’s innovative African Star solution for transporting large shipments from the U.S. to Angola expeditiously. Four heat exchangers with a total weight of 47,210 kg were shipped from the U.S. to Luanda in a few days only.
