New charter tool for ad hoc charters: any aircraft, anytime, anywhere

The Panalpina Charter Network can now be easily accessed online. Panalpina’s new charter tool provides an up-to-date overview of scheduled cargo flights and of all cargo aircraft in the world – big and small – available for chartering on any given day. The charter tool features drag-and-drop origin and destination functionality, and shows current aircraft availability by geography and routes.

Lower sulfur limits: Panalpina actively helping customers deal with supply chain impact

Panalpina is ready to support Ocean Freight customers in dealing with higher costs and potential disruptions as a result of the lower sulfur limits. Already this year, cargo owners will feel the impact of new rules on ship emissions coming into force. From 2020, the sulfur content of bunker fuels will be reduced to 0.5 percent, compared to 3.5 percent now in most parts of the world.

Panalpina donates sixth UNICEF relief flight to Africa

Same as last year, Panalpina assisted UNICEF by flying relief aid to Africa to help children in South Sudan, where the humanitarian needs after years of conflict remain massive. A Panalpina chartered cargo aircraft landed last night in neighboring Uganda, carrying nearly 70 tons of supplies. The supplies will be trucked to South Sudan and distributed across the country as the dry season begins.
